Arrival. After the 1952 floods, when the seaside town of Lynmouth was washed away, girders were brought down from Scunthorpe, to rebuild the bridges. A hair raising journey, taking two Leyland Octopus trailer outfits up 1 in 4 Porlock Hill, across the top of Exmoor, and down 1 in 5 Countisbury into Lynmouth.
