On Bodmin Moor, 1960s The main road A30, London to Lands End used to go by its street door. The lorry is a Cornish Rowe Hillmaster. The old smugglers inn was immortalized in the story of Joss Merlin, by Daphne du Maurier. Popular with tourists nowadays, it even has its own museum. (Courtesy of G. and J. Thorne)
